Important: Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using OptiFit services. By creating an account or attending classes, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About OptiFit
OptiFit is a functional fitness training service that provides family-oriented fitness classes. We help families build strength together through structured workout programs.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using OptiFit services, you confirm that:
- You are 18 years or older, or have parental/guardian consent
- You have read and understood these terms
- You agree to comply with all terms and conditions
- You accept responsibility for family members you book for
3. Account Registration
3.1 Account Requirements
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Verify your email address
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Update information when it changes
3.2 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- All activities under your account
- Bookings made for family members
- Keeping login credentials secure
- Notifying us of unauthorized use
4. Membership and Pricing
4.1 Monthly Packages
OptiFit offers monthly fitness packages based on:
- Number of family members
- Frequency of classes (2×, 3×, or 4× per week)
- Family size discounts as advertised
4.2 Pricing and Payment
- Prices are displayed in South African Rands (ZAR)
- Monthly invoices based on package selection
- Payment due upon invoice receipt
- Prices subject to change with 30 days notice
4.3 Credit System
Important Credit Rules:
- Credits allocated monthly and expire at month-end
- Weekly booking limits apply (cannot use all credits in one week)
- No rollover of unused credits to following month
- No refunds for unused credits
5. Class Booking and Attendance
5.1 Booking Policy
- Bookings subject to class capacity
- First-come, first-served basis
- One credit per person per class
- Weekly limits apply per package type
5.2 Cancellation Policy
- Cancel bookings through your account dashboard
- Cancellations do not restore used credits
- No-shows are treated as attended (credits used)
- Emergency cancellations considered case-by-case
5.3 Class Changes
We reserve the right to:
- Modify class schedules with reasonable notice
- Cancel classes due to insufficient bookings
- Change class locations when necessary
- Substitute instructors as needed
6. Health and Safety

Participation in fitness activities involves inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge these risks and assume responsibility for your safety.
6.1 Health Requirements
Before participating, you must:
- Confirm you are physically able to participate
- Disclose any medical conditions that may affect participation
- Consult healthcare providers if unsure about fitness activities
- Follow all safety instructions provided
6.2 Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that:
- Physical exercise carries inherent risks
- Injuries may occur despite safety measures
- You participate voluntarily at your own risk
- OptiFit is not liable for injuries resulting from participation
6.3 Emergency Procedures
- Inform instructors of any discomfort or issues immediately
- Stop exercising if you feel unwell
- Follow emergency evacuation procedures when required
- Ensure emergency contact information is current
7. Code of Conduct
7.1 Expected Behavior
All participants must:
- Treat others with respect and courtesy
- Follow instructor guidance and safety rules
- Arrive on time and prepared for classes
- Use equipment responsibly and safely
- Maintain appropriate hygiene standards
7.2 Prohibited Activities
- Disruptive or inappropriate behavior
- Use of mobile phones during classes
- Bringing outside food or drinks (unless medically necessary)
- Recording or photographing without consent
- Any behavior that compromises safety
8. Intellectual Property
All OptiFit content, including:
- Workout programs and methodologies
- Website content and design
- Logos, branding, and marketing materials
- Training materials and guides
Are protected by intellectual property rights and remain our exclusive property.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with POPIA.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OptiFit shall not be liable for:
- Personal injuries or accidents during participation
- Loss or damage to personal property
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Service interruptions or technical issues
11. Termination
11.1 By You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination:
- Unused credits are forfeited (no refunds)
- Access to services ceases immediately
- Outstanding payments remain due
11.2 By OptiFit
We may terminate accounts for:
- Violation of these terms
- Non-payment of fees
- Inappropriate behavior
- Safety violations
12. Modifications to Terms
We may update these terms periodically. Changes will be communicated through:
- Email notification to active users
- Prominent website notices
- Updated effective date below
Continued use of services after changes indicates acceptance of new terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved through South African courts or agreed arbitration procedures.
